Environmental Commitment

Looking after our environment is a central concern of the Scandinavian business culture and that of our domestic lives as well. With the building sector faced with increasing legislation governing emissions, planning, design and manufacture, NCS Colour AB has, over the years, developed a number of initiatives to lessen the impact of our business on the environment.

Where possible every effort has been made to ensure NCS Products and Services remain as kind to the environment as possible. Our samples are made using EU approved pigments.

The colour industry is particularly affected by legislation initiated to counteract the problems we face with regards to our natural environment and that of our built environment. The paint industry has a great responsibility to uphold with regards to green issues and the impact its production methods and waste create.

At NCS Colour we are proud of our ability to respond to the changes in regulation and indeed, as part of the forward eco-thinking Scandinavian companies foster, welcome these changes with open arms. Our Global Colour Management segment offers companies the chance to use some of the most advanced environmentally friendly colour solutions to make the production and communication of colour friendlier not only to clients but to minimise its ecological impact.

We have an ongoing commitment to stay at the frontline of international regulations regarding the production of colour samples and were the first to remove lead and cadmium in our colour samples back in 1995. We also led the way when we converted our pigments to those approved by the EU. We offer our clients and customers the world-leading opaque nitrocellulose lacquer colour samples & acrylic lacquer which, while being gentle on the environment, are unbeatable in terms of accuracy while being long-lasting and durable.
