Our Customers
Thanks to an extensive international network, NCS customers can be found all over the world numbering well into the hundreds of thousands. They can be found in almost every industry where colour plays a role, from fashion and textiles to graphic design and photography, retail and sales outlets, the paints and coatings industry or architects and designers. NCS Global Overview
NCS is represented in 26 countries by NCS Colour Centres and in a number of countries through agents. NCS is also the National Colour Standard in Sweden, Norway, Spain and South Africa and the recommended industry colour standard in many industry sectors.
NCS Special Branches
The NCS Colour Academy, a fully-owned subsidiary of NCS Colour, provides high quality colour training world-wide, is based in Sweden. The Swedish Colour School was initiated in the 1950's to bring together many well-known architects and designers to develop and expand the possibilities of using and communicating colour. It was here in fact that the NCS - Natural Colour System®© research work began.
NCS Colour Centre Germany is a fully owned subsidiary of NCS Colour. It provides the full level of services offered by NCS Colour and is located in Berlin to cater conveniently for the central European market.
Distributors, Agents & NCS Colour Centres
An NCS Colour Centre represents NCS - Natural Colour System®© and provides the range of products and solutions on its local/national market as a distributor or agent.
The NCS system, related products, services and competence from NCS Headquarters together with the skilled competence of the distributor, NCS Colour Centres, forms the base for the NCS Colour's business.
We work closely with our distributers and agents to provide the full range of services to clients on a more local level, cutting down the time it takes for our clients to receive the options they require.
Colour Foundation
The Swedish Colour Centre Foundation is an initiative of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA), the Swedish Society of Crafts and Design, (Svensk Form), the Swedish state and industry.
The research work concerning colour and the attempts to create a visually descriptive colour system, with the Natural Colour System®© as a result, continued extensively, after its start in the Colour School, for around 15 years within the Swedish Colour Centre Foundation. Thereafter NCS was left to NCS Colour to carry out and commercialise.
Nowadays the task of the Swedish Colour Centre Foundation is to encourage scientific research within the colour field for industry, education, people working with colour and to spread new knowledge and experience within the field of colour. The foundation is also an active member and is the Swedish member body in the international organsation AIC.
